EVEN THOUGH HE NEVER MENTIONED CHRISTIANITY IN HIS MASSIVE TOME ENTITLED
THE JEWISH WAR, FLAVIUS JOSEPHUS CONSULTED THE BOOK OF DANIEL
AND THE 4 GOSPELS IN ORDER TO
DISPROVE THE MARVELOUS
FULFILLMENT OF BIBLE PROPHECY!!

Daniel's Seventy Weeks prophecy is the "Mother of all Prophecies" because it gives the exact year when the Messiah was to appear. The angel Gabriel, who stands in the presence of the Most High, appeared to Daniel and gave him that prophecy. Fallen angels like Lucifer and Apollyon cannot tell the truth, but the holy angels cannot tell a lie:

While I was speaking in prayer, the angel Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, reached me about the time of the evening offering. And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, “O Daniel, I have now come forth to give you skill to understand.  At the beginning of your supplications the command went out, and I have come to tell you, for you are greatly beloved; therefore consider the matter, and understand the vision (Daniel 9:21-23).

Incredibly, the "synagogue of Satan" demoted the archangel Gabriel to a mere mortal:

While I was speaking, praying, and confessing my sin before the LORD my God on behalf of the holy mountain of my God—while I was uttering my prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had previously seen in the vision was sent forth in flight and reached me about the time of the evening offering (Tanakh, Daniel 9:21).

Daniel knew from the Torah that a day symbolized a year (Genesis 29:27, Numbers 14:34):

Seventy weeks (70x7=490 years) are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks (483 years): the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. And after threescore and two weeks (483 years) shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week (7 years): and in the middle of the week (3.5 years) he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate (Daniel 9:24-27).

From the first year of Cyrus King of Persia (457 BC) to the 15th year of Tiberius Caesar (26 AD) was exactly 483 years. 3.5 years later the Messiah was cut off (killed), and by his death and Resurrection all animal sacrifices in the Temple were a stench in the nostrils of the Alpha and Omega!

No date was given in that prophecy for the destruction of the Temple, but the Messiah predicted that it would happen within one generation. In the Old Covenant a generation was 40 years. The unbelieving Israelites wandered in the wilderness for 40 years. Kings Saul, David, and Solomon reigned for 40 years.

However, Flavius Josephus applied the prophecy of the momentous 7 years to the Jewish war against the Romans, which he claimed lasted from 66 to 73 AD.

Previous to that time there was a 3-year period when the Temple was defiled by Antiochus Epiphanes:

And that from among them there should arise a certain king that should overcome our nation, and their laws, and should take away their political government, and should plunder the temple, and forbid the sacrifices to be offered for three years' time. And indeed it came to pass that our nation suffered those things under Antiochus Epiphanes, according to Daniel's vision, and what he wrote many years before they came to pass. In the very same manner Daniel also wrote concerning the Roman government, and that our country should be made desolate by them. (Whiston, New Complete Works of Josephus, p. 357).

Josephus was referring to the desolation of the Temple by Antiochus Epiphanes who put a statue of Zeus in the great Temple:

Antiochus Epiphanes (215164 BC).
Misruled from 175 to 164 BC.

In 168 BC, tyrannical Antioches Epiphanes conquered Old Jerusalem and erected a huge statue of Zeus (Roman Jupiter) in the very Holy of Holies.

Then he forced the Jewish priests to sacrifice swine to Zeus!

That was the Abomination of Desolation predicted by Daniel the Prophet (Daniel 11:31).

After 3 years, Judah succeeded in expelling the Syrians from the city, and the priests resumed the Daily Sacrifice!

A huge statue of Zeus was
installed in the Holy of Holies.

Josephus viewed the cessation of the Daily Sacrifice as a calamity, but his blinded eyes did not see the Roman occupation of the Temple as the Abomination of Desolation:

And arms shall stand on his part, and they (Syrians) shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate (Daniel 11:31).

Judah Macabees miraculously defeated the huge army of tyrannical Antiochus Epiphanes because Elohim wanted the sacrifices to resume until the Messiah came and put an end to all animal sacrifices!

the rebellious Jews to surrender!

Josephus risked his life pleading with the rebellious Jews to surrender and spare the Temple.

To his spiritually blinded eyes the cessation of animal sacrifice in the Temple was the worst calamity in the world!

Nothing could convince the Satan-possesed Jews to surrender . . . as they expected a "Messiah" to appear at the last moment!

The rebellious Jews looked upon the cessation of the Daily Sacrifice as a repeat of the defiling of the Temple by Antioches Epiphanes:

And now Titus gave orders to his solders that were with him to dig up the foundations of the tower of Antonia and make him a ready passage for his army to come up; while he himself had Josephus brought to him, (for he had been informed that on that very day, which was the seventeenth day of Panemus (Tamuz) the sacrifice called the Daily Sacrifice had failed, and had not been offered to God for want of men to offer it, and the people were greviously troubled by it. (Whiston, New Complete Works of Josephus, p. 886).

Old Jerusalem was burned to the ground with the buildings containing the archives and genealogies of all the real Jews. From that time onward, nobody could prove that they were descendants of Aaron, and authorized to offer animal sacrifices in any future Temple.

Josephus ended his War of the Jews in 73 AD with the capture of Masada!!

Josephus commenced his "history" with the incredible withdrawal of Celsius Gallus from the city. He couldn't explain his bizarre behavior, or the exodus of the Jewish Christians from the doomed city.

Gaius Cestius Gallus (d. 67 AD).

Josephus was looking for a 7-year period to counterfeit the 1 week or 7 years of Daniel 9:27.

Very conveniently he started his "history" in 66 AD, when the Romans mysteriously withdrew from the doomed city.

The Temple was destroyed in 70 AD, exactly 40 years from the Resurrection, so he had to conjure up 3 more years to suit his corrupt chronology.

As far as the Romans were concerned the Jewish War ended in June 71 AD when they celebrated a Triumph with 700 of the most fearsome Jewish warriors paraded though the streets of the city.

In 72 AD, Roman Emperor Vespasian ordered Sextus Lucilius Bassus to finish off the last remnants of the Jewish rebels in Judea. After destroying the strongholds of Herodium and Machaerus he was on his way to Masada when he suddenly passed away.

Sextus Lucilius Bassus was succeeded by Flavius Silva who arrived at Masada in March 73. It only took the general about a month to subdue the seeming impregnable fortress!

The fortress of Masada where 960
Jews committed suicide!

When the Romans breached the fortress at Passover in 73 AD all they found were 960 Jews with their throats cut!

When new recruits join the Edomite army they swear that "Masada shall not fall again."

former Masada Sicarri fortress.

The Jewish revolt actually began at Masada in 66 AD, when a group of Sicarri, disguised as Roman soldiers, entered the fortress and cut the throats of the garrison....When the Romans finally stormed the fortress all they found were dead bodies:

Now for the Romans, they expected that they be fought in the morning, when, accordingly, they put on their armour, and laid bridges of planks upon their ladders from their banks, to make an assault upon the fortress, which they did: but saw nobody as an enemy, but a terrible solitude on every side, with a fire within the place, as well as a perfect silence. So they were at a loss to guess at what had happened. (Whiston, New Complete Works of Josephus, p. 933).

If the suicidal Jews had believed the Prophet Daniel and their own Messiah they would have died peacefully in bed like their forefather Israel . . . and then gone straight to heaven!

If those Edomites had their way they would knock down the Dome of the Rock in order to offer bloody animal sacrifices to Hashem!

Flavius Josephus and Titus Caesar laid the foundation for the Papal Dynasty!!

With the Temple destroyed there was no way that Josephus could deny the marvelous fulfillment of Daniel 9:27. He spent the rest of his life as a special quest of Emperor Vespasian and Titus rewriting history.

Priest Joseph ben Matthias aka
Flavius Josephus (37– 100 AD).

As a patron of the Flavians, Josephus made no mention in his voluminous writings that the Roman Empire was the dreadful and terrible Fourth Beast, extremely strong, with great iron teeth and 10 horns (Daniel 7:7).

Daniel and the Gospels depict the Messiah as a STONE, and during the siege of Old Jerusalem Josephus referred to Titus Caesar as the veritable STONE, or Son of Elohim.

Titus Flavius (39 81 AD).
Emperor from 79 to 81 AD.

In one description of the siege he called a massive Stone sent over the wall by Titus Caesar "The Son:"

Now the stones that were cast were of the weight of a talent, and were carried two furlongs and further. The blow they gave was no way to be sustained, not only by those that stood first in the way, but by those that were beyond them for a great space. As for the Jews, they at first watched the coming of the stone, for it was of a white color, and could therefore not only be perceived by the great noise it made, but could be seen also before it came by its brightness; accordingly the watchmen that sat upon the towers gave them notice when the engine was let go, and the stone came from it, and cried out aloud, in their own country language, “THE SON COMETH” so those that were in its way stood off, and threw themselves down upon the ground; by which means, and by their thus guarding themselves, the stone fell down and did them no harm. But the Romans contrived how to prevent that by blacking the stone, who then could aim at them with success, when the stone was not discerned beforehand, as it had been till then; and so they destroyed many of them at one blow. (Whiston, New Complete Works of Josephus, p. 860).

All 4 Gospels mention that 3 men were nailed to 1 tree . . . with the Messiah in the middle:

Moreover, when the city Jerusalem was taken by force … I was sent by Titus Caesar … to a certain village called Thecoa, in order to know whether it were a place fit for a camp; as I came back, I saw many captives crucified, and remembered three of them as my former acquaintance. I was very sorry at this in my mind, and went with tears in my eyes to Titus, and told him of them; so he immediately commanded them to be taken down, and to have the greatest care taken of them, in order for their recovery; yet two of them died under the physician’s hands, while the third recovered. (Whiston, New Complete Works of Josephus, p. 42).

The number of places where the 4 Gospels are lampooned is legion and just too many to list. Saint Paul—the enlightened counterpart of Flavius Josephus—emphatically stated that Christ put an end to all sacrifices:

And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of Elohim, from that time waiting until his enemies are made His footstool (Hebrews 10:11-13).

Saint Paul wrote the Epistle to the Hebrews, and he emphatically stated that the old Levitical system of worship was obsolete . . . or gone with the wind....That Epistle was written before the Temple was destroyed.

Priests, altars, incense, vestments, bells, wine, oil, etc., etc. were all copied from the Levitical worship in the now defunct Temple.

It is called the "Unbloody Sacrifice" of the Mass!

Before the construction of Solomon's Temple, JEHOVAH dwelt in a portable tent or TABERNACLE! According to the Prophet Daniel, Antichrist will plant his tabernacles from sea to shining sea just before the Second Advent of Christ:

And he (Antichrist) shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and nobody shall help him (Psalm 72:8, Daniel 11:45).

That means that the Catholics will go on the warpath once again for a short time (1260 days) or 3.5 years before the end of time (Daniel 12:7).
