You don't' have to be an MIT graduate to understand the Edomite calendar . . . but it helps!!

The Edomites began counting their years from the destruction of the Second Temple in 3828 BCE. That is the equivalent of 70 AD in the so-called "Christian" calendar. However, the Messiah ministered for 3½ years, so they deleted the 3 most important years in the entire history of the world from their calendar!

To arrive at that momentous date they added the 3 years which were deleted from the so-called "Christian" calendar e.g., 3 BC, 2 BC, and 1 BC. Since the Messiah was born in 3 BC, the Edomites had no interest in the correct year of his birth, but they did need to find 3 extra years to make 3828 BCE equivalent to 70 AD.

Talmudic and Rabbinical Chronology.

The table ends in 1953-1954, but the calculations for the Edomite year of Creation are the same up to their present year of 5784.
