Editor's note.

In Matthew 28:1 the Scripture used the expression "in the end of the SABBATHS—a plural word. That is because there were 2 Sabbaths the week that Jesus was nailed to a tree:

1. The yearly or Passover Sabbath
2. The regular weekly Sabbath.

Joshua died on Wednesday and was buried before sundown. The next day was the High Sabbath called the Preparation so all the people rested on that day. The following day, Friday, the woman disciples of Joshua purchased sweet spices in order to embalm His body. Then they rested on the next day weekly Sabbath expecting to visit His tomb on Sunday morning and embalm His body. It was then that they discovered the glorious fact that He was not in the tomb but was risen from the dead—hallelujah.

"Good" Friday is a MYTH started by Pope Constantine. Joshua said that He would be 3 days and 3 nights in the heart of the earth:

"For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." (Matthew 12:40).

How anyone can count 3 days and 3 nights from Friday evening to Sunday morning is beyond comprehension.
